A ‘reading’ phone for the visually impaired

LG Electronics rolls out a cellphone which integrates text-to-speech functionalities and a voice sensor. SMS could then be read by an automatic voice, but also map directions, says Telecoms Korea (via textually). The Korean hi-tech product manufacturer developed it for visually impaired people.
The handset supports Bluetooth headsets and features data transmission with other Bluetooth devices. It also works as a walkie-talkie, exchanging signals among the handsets of the same model within a 100m range.

Such a feature exists on add-on products, and even the reverse process, speech-to-text, just as SpinVox that we spotted.
