But some days before, a big rumor shacked the blogosphere. On September 14, 20 Minutes (the free daily press that’s smashing traditional press) rolled out a printed picture of the Apple VoIP iPod. The cover was made for the opening of Apple Expo Paris.

Well, sorry guys, it’s not the real one. The Register got some informations on it.

Separately, the iPhone pictured by French magazine 20 Minutes and credited to Apple is actually a reprint of an artist’s impression commissioned earlier this year by UK magazine MacUser, a fact later admitted by the Paris-based publication - and by readers who dialed the number displayed on the screen.

According to some sources, the real one should come out by early 2007, for the Apple Expo San Fransisco. Which makes a lot more sense, as the iPod rocks in the US, and a lot less in France.

No later than yesterday, a source claims to find the real iPhone.
