Motorola go VoIP ― SIP VoIP. Its last Motorola SBV5100-series modems will include IP telephony features. That means users won’t need to start the computer up in order to make VoIP calls.
Charles Dougherty, corporate vice president of Motorola’s Connected Home Solutions business, said to AP/Broadcast Newsroom this could ease cable operators to roll out voice-enriched application. We got you, but Motorola is also backing SIP as the de facto industry standard.
The model is announced for the end of this year.
