Microsoft to debut pay-per-call services on mobile phones

Pay-Per-Call (PPC) isn’t the brainchild of some eBay or Google. Microsoft too is hunting in this field, trying to figure how to monetize user VoIP calls to announcers. But unlike its competitors, Microsoft will first integrate PPC technologies to its Windows Live Services for mobiles, letting Google and eBay opening the PC-based market.

Microsoft will get to use the technology developed by Ingenio, already known for its Ether service. Ether operates as a buying/selling platform for services. Members displays what kind of consulting they can provide, how much they will ask for, and buyers and sellers meet each other through a VoIP client or an instant messenger.
