Jajah’s new ‘gold finger’

Jajah recently found its new mastermind in the person of Yair Goldfinger. After this announcement, no doubt that VoIP boom will remain an interest for tech-savvy people.
Wait a minute. Who is Goldfinger?
Remember ICQ? That’s him. Yair Goldfinger co-founded it and until soon, also served as chief technology officer at Dotomi, a online direct marketing solution provider. His experience in chat software is enough broad enough to be considered like jewel, especially by Jajah that wants to compete with the big fishes (Skype, Google Talk, Gizmo Project).
But why Jajah? Why not Google?
Tough question. Let’s see what have made it go for this start-up. First: As a major makeover is happening in the field of voice over the Internet, Mr. Goldfinger might be enticed again into playing with chat applications. Second: he might prefer small but innovative companies. Google owns its Google Talk. eBay acquired for Skype. And Gizmo Project might be ‘too’ open source for him.
Is it going to change something?
He may even be behind the Jajah web-based phone service. Goldfinger has been already working with Jajah for 6 months. He knows the system and for instance, pinpointed some weaknesses. He said users might experience some problems setting up a VoIP router.
Doesn’t he fear about the Jajah’s spyware case?
Well, at least, he’s confident in the Jajah current policy. “First, I have read your comment on our EULA, and I might agree the wording is confusing. But I want to assure you that Jajah isn’t a spyware, and doesn’t track user activities/behavior on the internet. We will look again on our EULA and make it much clearer that we are not ’spying’ on users,” he emailed to ExtremeVoIP.
