Not sure if this is significant or not. Still, the patent found by AppleInsider leads to an voice- AND video-enabled iPod:
“Real time data transmission is said to be achieved by high levels of effective compression by sub-sampling each frame of a video signal, filtering the pixel values, and then encoding the media.”
The filling contains several iPod example of use. One of them describes a color display, wireless network support that includes a microphone. Oh, man, it’s getting juicy.
