Intel is definitively getting deeper into VoIP technology. What’s new: The chip maker has closed a deal with Siemens to develop new technology for IP telephony.

The collaboration is to bring more optimized secure wireless networks, and better VoIP products for specific industry domains such as financial services and digital healthcare, some source says.

Our question: Could this also lead to a Call-Me hotkey on Intel-inside Fujistu-Siemens laptops? Skype has done this with Packard Bell. Your answer?
