IM enters the age of tagging

If instant messaging is its core activity, Wablet steps far deeper into the social networking field that any of its currently available competitors. It’s actually melting IM functionalities with tags to fine-tune the social interaction on the Web.
In practice, the application monitors your web spaces (blogs, image and video sharing spots, and/or IM accounts), awakes when someone lands on them, and brings out member profiles of those who sign up with Wablet. Each of the profiles includes tags. And depending on your status of the moment, Wablet blasts them to your further consideration.
You can rate others’ profile ― something like a spam filter ― and display a different status to each of your social spaces, to restrict your contact list for a while.
Wablet runs on some Flash technologies. Oops, Flash technologies? Yes, but according to Wablet’s CEO David Foote on SiliconBeat: “Wablet’s usage of a Flash version of AJAX does not use up as much memory or CPU as some have suggested it does. Flash can be a hog, but the services that Wablet offers aren’t that heavy.”
