Approved: Internet “.Tel” domain

The new telephony world has now its own Internet domain. The official authority, the ICANN, yessed the “.tel” domain name proposition and granted the contract to Telnic Ltd, the company which authored it.
The .Tel domain works as an all-in-one contact place. For instance, imagine you want to share all your phone numbers with your relatives. You are now supposed to register a dotTel domain, fill it with your informations and use it as a visiting card.
In addition, individuals could decide, in real time, by what means their friends and colleagues will be able to reach them. This ranges from landline telephony, email, instant messenger, to SMS, cell phones, and IP phone. But Telnic hasn’t explained if this implies making call forwarding.
